| The Intent
YogaMoves teaches refinement of body and clarity of mind. Through the classes, students are encouraged to move from gross to subtle, from resistance to release. The seeds of meditation are planted in the practice of asanas (yoga postures). We teach precision of alignment combined with flowing sequences of postures.
We emphasize that yoga is not physical gymnastics, but is practice of the heart, mind and spirit. Nevertheless, classes are demanding. Students are encouraged to explore the thresholds of mind and body in a non-competitive way. We are dedicated to a creative and innovative approach to the practice.
